What a great weekend Creek Church Family! On Saturday, we had a bunch of ladies cooking and enjoying our first Creek Ladies Recipe Social. I personally want to thank you for all of the tasty recipes and I am looking forward to making them and eating them!
Sunday was tremendous! This week, Rosalind and I, visited the Joy Group Sunday School class and were blessed to hear the passion that Bro. John Mough puts into studying and teaching the scriptures. It was also wonderful to hear people recalling information that they had learned from the prior weeks in the class. I want to encourage you, if you haven’t already, to find a class and get plugged into it.
Huge thank you to John Hawkins for stepping in and leading in the service. He did an incredible job leading us into a spirit of worship and getting ready to hear The Word.
We also continued our study through the book of Galatians and saw how amazing grace is lived out. One of the things that always blows me away, in a passage of scripture like this, is that in spite of ourselves God is always working in our lives. It is amazing that even though we had no desire for God, God had a desire for us. In that passage of scripture, we see the Apostle Paul leading his own life, his own way, and how God interjects and changes everything. As a result of God’s great work in the Apostle Paul’s life, there were many others that came to faith in Christ and there were more still that glorified God greatly because of the change that Christ had wrought in him. At the end of the service, we were left with three main thoughts and two overwhelming challenges for the week:
A life that makes a profession of faith desires:
- To spend time with God (vs. 17).
- To spend time with other believers (vs. 18-20).
- To spend time telling others your testimony (vs. 11-16; 21-24)
- Discover and be thankful for when God interjected himself into your life (vs. 15).
- Be sure to tell others your testimony. Let them see how God moved upon your life so that they may glorify God through what He has done in your life (vs.23-24).
Praying for your week and we look forward to seeing you Wednesday!
Love you guys!
For the Kingdom!
