This weekend is the Christmas Store and we need your help! The Christmas Store is a ministry to members in our church family and our community who are in need. This year, we will help approximately 30 families with food, clothes, and children’s gifts. Each family is interviewed by a staff member and needs are established. The goal of this process is to encourage the family not only with meeting material needs, but to give us the opportunity to meet spiritual needs as well. Families involved in the Christmas Store must attend Sunday morning Worship Service on December 18. In order to successfully minister to these families and meet their needs, we need participation from the entire church.
We need some volunteers from our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to help us prepare the Christmas Baskets for the Christmas Store. We will be meeting in the fellowship hall at The First Baptist Church at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 17th. We should be done by 10:15 that morning. There will be breakfast snacks available (Donuts, Coffee, Milk, and Orange Juice) for those that attend. If you or your child is able to help please join us.
Adults and Youth—We need 15-20 adults on December 18, immediately after the 10:30 Worship Service, to assist each family and load their cars. It typically takes about 30 minutes to load the cars with all of the food, clothes, and toys. If you are interested in helping us on that day, please call Sharon Hambick at 901-872-2264.
